Our Exclusive Interview With Jeffrey Dean Morgan And Natasha Calis From The Possession At San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Posted on 15 July 2012 by Joey DC

Our Before The Trailer team is currently mixing business with pleasure at the 2012 Comic-Con in San Diego, California where they had the great opportunity of joining an exclusive round-table interview with actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Natasha Calis of The Possession  on Friday, July 13, 2012.

The story centers on a young girl who buys an antique box at a yard sale, unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl's father teams with his ex-wife to find a way to end the curse upon their child.

The Possession stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Clyde Brenek, Kyra Sedgwick as his ex-wife Stephanie Brenek and Natasha Calis as their youngest daughter Emily, and is based on a real story of a family who purchased a haunted Dibbuk Box (wine cabinet) on Ebay when tragedy took its course.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Natasha Calis talked about the freedom they had as actors to portray their characters and how important it was for them to bond because of their father/daughter relationship on screen. Jeffrey Dean Morgan also said that even though it was a great script and involved a great director, it all came down to the little girl Emily to make the film believable for the audience and the other actors.

Our Exclusive Interview With Director Ole Bornedal From The Possession At San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Posted on 14 July 2012 by Joey DC

Our Before The Trailer team is currently mixing business with pleasure at the 2012 Comic-Con in San Diego, California where they had the great opportunity of joining an exclusive round-table interview with the director of The Possession Ole Bornedal yesterday, July 13, 2012.

The story centers on a young girl who buys an antique box at a yard sale, unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl's father teams with his ex-wife to find a way to end the curse upon their child.

The Possession stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick and Natasha Calis, and is based on a real story of a family who purchased a haunted Dibbuk Box (wine cabinet) on Ebay when tragedy took its course.

The character-driven Danish director Ole Bornedal spoke about the right approach to tell the story of The Possession without producing another superficial, scary horror movie. His focus was clearly on the characters as he believes that when real people are challenged by horror then it is truly horrific. His reason for doing this film was because of the human approach to it, making real people on screen that the audience could relate to.
