“Captain America: Winter Soldier” To Film At Cleveland Museum Of Art On Sunday And Monday

June 19, 2013

Cleveland, Ohio- Here we are ladies and gents, on the heels of the last month of "Captain America: Winter Soldier" filmings before it hits the silver screen on April 4, 2014.

The Marvel movie directed by Anthony and Joe Russo will be filmed inside the Cleveland Museum of Art on Sunday and Monday according to the Museum's spokeswoman Elizabeth Bolander.
We anticipate the filming to take place in the central atrium and filming will be limited to this area along side the Provenance Restaurant, its Café, the museum store and Gallery One which houses more than 50 objects by artists such as George Segal, Jean-Leon Gerome and Viktor Schreckengost.
As exciting as a museum scene sounds, our worries about the safety of the artworks are put to rest by the spokeswoman reassurance that no art works will be harmed in the making of this movie.
This is the first time the museum has been rented in its entirety for the shooting of a major motion picture.
Currently, the movie is being filmed indoors in a house in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood after days of outside shooting for explosions, gunfire, fights and car chases. Trucks, vans and equipment were seen lining West Seventh Street. We have reports that the filming will be wrapped up on Wednesday before the seven month post-production.
