The Hunger Games: Catching Fire to film in Hawaii

According to the Examiner, the blockbuster series The Hunger Games which grossed a total of $680 million, will film in Hawaii this fall. It is currently unconfirmed which island will be chosen although Kauai, Maui, Hawaii island, and Oahu, have been eyed for two to three weeks of filming which could begin as early as November.
The story continues as Katniss Everdeen and fellow tribute Peeta Mellark are forced to return to the arena in a special edition of the Hunger Games following a rebellion against the oppressive Capitol in the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem.
The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, and Lenny Kravitz. The sequel, directed by Francis Lawrence, is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2013.
The new ABC TV series Last Resort begins filming on the island of Oahu on July 30th and they are currently looking for extras. The show follows the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado as they receive orders to destroy Pakistan. The Colorado is then targeted, fired upon, and hit by one of their own. With nowhere left to turn, Captain Chaplin and XO Kendal bring the men and women of the Colorado to an exotic island where they find refuge, romance, and a chance at a new life.
