Summer movie season is almost here, but until then I have your guide to movie releases this April! There’s a little something for everyone this month, from comedy to action to romance, and even an animated feature or two for the kids.

April 6th

American Reunion

Starring: Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan and Sean William Scott

L!fe Happens

Starring: Krysten Ritter, Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson

A comedy centered on two best friends, Kim and Deena, who fight to maintain normalcy in their lives after Kim gets pregnant and has a baby. The screenplay was co-written by Ritter and director Kat Coiro.

Think Like a Man

Four friends conspire to turn the tables on their women when they discover the ladies have been using Steve Harvey’s relationship advice against them.

April 27th

The Five-Year Engagement

Starring: Jason Segel and Emily Blunt

A comedy the charts the ups and downs of an engaged couple’s relationship.

The Raven

Starring: John Cusack, Alice Eve and Luke Evans

When a mad man begins committing horrific murders inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s works, a young Baltimore detective joins forces with Poe to stop him from making his stories a reality.

Safe

Starring: Jason Statham

A former elite agent takes on a two-tier mission: rescue a Chinese girl who’s been abducted by the Triads, then use a safe combination to outwith the Russican Mafia, corrupt NYC officials and the Triads themselves.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits

Starring: Hugh Grant, Salma Hayek and Jeremy Piven

Pirate Captain sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. An animated comedy, should be good fun for the whole family!
