“The Hunger Games” To Film At DuPont State Forest In North Carolina For Three Days Starting June 5

According to Division of Forest Resources in North Carolina, it looks like “Hunger Games” will be filming there for three days starting on the 5th of June.

Expect Some Temporary Trail Closures – Camp Summit Road is closed for three weeks for a site preparation project. Lake Imaging access area will be closed for three days beginning on Sunday, June 5. There will be other temporary closures in early June for a film project. Additional trails that may be closed for a day or more include Triple Falls Trail (lower end), Hooker Falls Road and Bridal Veil Falls Road. The closings will be posted on the DuPont State Forest web page at and posted in the Kiosks.”

The news was reported on the local WLOS-TV in Asheville about the filming.

    The van drivers on the property need to respect the guest of Dupont State Forest. Driving way too fast for a gravel road throwing dust on hikers bikers. I'm glad we did have the kids with us it would have been a very unsafe situation.
